Report Card
Overall: ****
Exterior: Excellent: Big and bold. Body kit gives Flexpedition a low ride feel and 20-inch tires add to the SUV’s powerful stance.
Interior: Excellent: Leather seats and red stitching add to the SUV’s overall look. Heavy red accents may turn some away from this interior, but it’s not supposed to appeal to everyone.
Performance: Good: The 5.4-liter V-8 provides 300-horsepower and the independent suspension give it decent handling on the road. Steering can feel loose at high speeds, but still quiet and comfortable.
Safety: Good: Front and side curtain airbags, as well as seat mounted airbags for additional safety. Stability control and roll stability control are standard.
Pros: Unique design will help the owner stand out in a sea of SUVs.
Cons: With a sticker over $40,000, the Flexpedition may be out of reach for the young audience it appeals to most.
